If you missed being with us yesterday, Sunday, September 24, 2017, the group decided on something different for this coming “First Sunday” experience for us all – a dutch-treat meal at Sonny’s BBQ Restaurant.
Yesterday’s discussion on potluck had a lot to do with the fact that this coming Sunday, October 1, is also my birthday, so after the group decided to go out to eat and take a break from preparing for potluck, I was asked to picked the restaurant.
So here is the plan: we will start at the Chapel at 10:00 AM as usual, we’ll have communion together, then we will aim to leave for Sonny’s BBQ Restaurant by 10:45 AM. Sonny’s opens at 11:00 AM so the group thought that by getting there as they open would give us a better chance of sitting together.
If you want to simply meet us at Sonny’s at 11:00 AM, that’s fine and we’ll see then. If you want to attend but the budget is tight, that’s fine (we have all been there), just let me know and we’ll cover your meal cost, no problem.
I realize having a Sunday at Sonny’s is a little out of the ordinary, but so is CrossHope Chapel and as we all know our fellowship together won’t be any less whether we are in church or not.
Please let me know if you have any questions, too.
