I wanted to give you a head’s up on the fast approaching Operation Christmas Child ministry project. This year the national collection week is November 14-21, 2016. Which means, we will gather our boxes on Sunday, November 13, 2016.
Last year we all collected items to include in the boxes and then on the second week in November we met at the Chapel and we packed, packed, packed, and bought more boxes to hold all the items we had purchased in advance that we couldn’t pack. Actually, Vic and Donna ended up doing the follow-up packing and dropping off at the collection location.

This year we are hoping to put the box before the items, by offering free boxes to whoever wants to fill one with any items you want to include and on Sunday, November 13 you can bring your box in to the Chapel.
On Sunday, November 13, if you don’t have your box complete, no problem, just bring in what you do have and we can all pitch in and get the boxes finalized together.
We have 10 boxes at the Chapel with labels and if anyone happens to stop by the Family Christian Bookstore next to Hobby Lobby on Schillinger Road, they will give you up to ten of the free folding boxes with labels.
Also, like last year the church will pay the shipping and handling fee for your box and we will track them again to learn where they end-up taking the gospel.
