This coming Sunday is July 4th, otherwise known as Independence Day, a day set aside to celebrate the birth of our nation. We will pray for the future of our nation and give thanks for our Lord’s leading in the birth of the United States of America.
If you missed the past few weeks at CrossHope Chapel I want to update you on the plan for this coming Sunday, which will be a shortened gathering.
This Sunday we will meet at the same regular time, have prayer for our nation, have communion service, and then we will aim to wrap up our time together by 11:15 AM. At this time, those who want to, are planning on heading out for lunch at an area restaurant, and the two restaurants that have been discussed are Sonny’s or Brick & Spoon.
I’m sure we will figure out which restaurant we will head to when we gather this Sunday, and have time to talk about it again, too.
Normally we would have potluck on a First Sunday, but last week the idea of going out to eat came up as an alternative, because of a higher number of us being out-of-town or unable to attend.
In case you may be wondering I don’t foresee going out to eat at a restaurant replacing our future First Sunday potlucks, but I do think it will work good for this Sunday.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
See you then!
