Grandparents in Prayer
Would you be interested in joining other grandparents in a simple fellowship gathering once or twice a month for the purpose of praying together? We are living in morally declining times that cause us to fear for the future of our children and grandchildren.
Often times our influence as grandparents is hampered by the distance of miles, separations by divorce, and sometimes by adverse attitudes that keep us out of communication with children and grandchildren.
The Apostle John wrote, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 1:4), when it comes to our adult children and grandchildren we can probably relate and we grieve when they are not.
What to Expect
The Grandparents in Prayer fellowship gathering will aim to meet for an hour to hour and half. It will be a relaxed gathering and grandparents will be able to share as much or as little as they want with no pressure or obligation to talk. Otherwise it will be a time of discussion, sharing prayer requests, and a brief devotional insight from our pastor.
Pastor Steve Durkac will facilitate the Grandparents in Prayer fellowship gathering and a share a brief devotional thought. Steve has served as a hospital chaplain with Providence Hospital before founding CrossHope Chapel church.
You and any friends you may bring with you to the Grandparents in Prayer fellowship gathering will find Steve is very laid-back and quickly coming across as a long time family friend.
