Countdown to 2021
As we countdown to a new year and our January 3, 2021 church gathering marking our 10th anniversary, please know that I am praying for you.
I am praying that during this two week period before we entered into a new year we all will find peace in our lives and hope for our future.
In recent weeks I have had a few unexpected messages regarding the death of former parishioners, and it has me thinking about our Lord’s return and the glorious resurrection day.
This has caused me to pray all the more that each of us would keep our eyes fixed on Jesus for a sense of peace when the otherwise fearfulness of our times would like to shake us off center. Remember, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27, NIV).
On another note…
I want to let you know that my family and I are back home and we had a good enjoyable time.
Over the next two weeks I will filling in at the hospital for one of the chaplain’s who is out on a much needed vacation. If you text me with a prayer request while I am in a patient’s room I will likely not be able to process it until after I end that visit.
If you are unable to attend the January 3, 2021 church gathering marking our 10th anniversary, please send me a note of encouragement that you would like us to read to the group on that day.
This week I will get the info regarding the Meat Boss food and will send out an email about food items for that potluck, too.
