The early followers of Jesus, who faced trials, persecution, and uncertainty about their future, took heart encouraging one another with an Aramaic greeting, “Maranatha!” It means “the Lord is coming!” or “come, Lord Jesus” as in Revelation 22:20, which says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” (ESV).
We often discuss and answer questions within our fellowship each week on topics of Bible prophecy, especially as current events remind us that our “redemption is drawing near“ (Luke 21:28).
However, on the first Sunday of the month we dedicate that fellowship time to “encourage one another” with a reminder of the Blessed Hope (1 Thessalonians 4:17) as we also celebrate the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, and enjoy a potluck lunch.
If you have an interest in Bible prophecy and a study of the last days, you’ll enjoy this opportunity to ask questions and put current events in perspective with the return of our Lord.
