We meet at 10:00 AM on Sunday morning, and have been gathering more like a family get-together than a corporate event, since January 6, 2011 when we started meeting at the old Ryan’s Restaurant or later at the pastor’s house.
We are still relaxed and informal in our fellowship, but are now meeting at our own location. We have round tables so we can place our Bible’s, coffee, and snacks before us. We don’t have pews, bulletins, offering plates to pass around, no official church membership to pursued you into, and we don’t lecture – we discuss the Bible verse by verse.
We enjoy time socializing over coffee and snacks and catching up with life since the previous week. We devote time to sharing prayer needs, giving praise to our Lord for answering previous requests and remain steadfast together in praying for requests still on our prayer board. We will sing some hymns, some praise choruses, and enjoy a time of simple worship.
On the first Sunday of each month we have potluck, communion, and a Prophecy Outlook at our gatherings.
We break from our verse-by-verse Bible teaching series and Pastor Steve Durkac offers a Prophecy Outlook feature with opportunities to ask questions about Bible prophecy topics and texts.
We often discuss and openly answer questions within our fellowship on topics of Bible prophecy, but the first Sunday of the month is dedicated to “encourage one another” with a reminder of the Blessed Hope (2 Thessalonians 4:18).
If you have mobility challenges you may find CrossHope Chapel a great alternative church gathering to attend on Sunday morning. Sometimes larger facilitates can be harder to navigate from car to pew to bathroom to fellowship hall, but our Chapel is smaller and easier to navigate, including having floor guides for our sight-impaired members, and there’s no loud band to fight with your hearing aid.
