An Overview

CrossHope Chapel is a nondenominational church fellowship with informal gatherings on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM of simple prayerful worship and down-to-earth conversational verse-by-verse Bible teaching.

We value a simpler and smaller approach to doing church as we have round tables so we can set our Bibles, coffee, and snacks on, and plenty of opportunity to share and ask questions during our Thru-the-Bible teaching series.

Our Mission…

CrossHope Chapel “exists to love God and to make His love known” which is our mission statement. We seek to fulfill that in light of Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:19-20, and by partnering with like-minded ministries that can reach further than us in advancing the Great Commission. | Cooperative Missions

Our Philosophy…

CrossHope Chapel holds to three biblical purposes and seven governing values that guide our philosophy of doing church and how we put that into practice as we gather in fellowship a little more laid-back, casual, and simple compared to most churches. | Governing Values

Our Beliefs…

CrossHope Chapel believes in faith in Jesus Christ as the only Savior and Way to eternity in heaven (Ephesians 2:8-9), in hope through the teachings of the Bible as the only authority in matters of beliefs and behaviors (Romans 15:4), and in love for one-another as the ultimate witness of the Spirit-filled life and testimony to the true character of God (John 13:34-35). | Statement of Faith

Our Leadership…

CrossHope Chapel was founded by Steve Durkac, who has a Southern Baptist ministerial affiliation background, and after serving as a hospital chaplain at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. | Pastor Steve Durkac

Our Affiliation…

CrossHope Chapel is an independent, autonomous, and self-governed church ministry. We are non-denominational by our By-Laws and form a fellowship of believers in the Lord Jesus who come from various church denominational backgrounds.  | Our Beginnings

Our Vision…

CrossHope Chapel is committed to trusting in the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6) for the direction and future of our fellowship. We are both content with whoever or how many the Lord sends to us, and restless in our desire to reach more to be part of our fellowship. On any given Sunday you’ll find a comfortable gathering of 20 – 30, but with room to accommodate 50 or more while maintaining our relaxed conversational Bible teaching format. We also have expansion rooms options to double or triple our leased space at our present location.  |  Your First Visit
