ABC’s of Believing

Do you question if you are saved? Do you harbor doubts that you will spend eternity in Heaven? Consider these ABC’s of Salvation as assurance that through faith – not by your works – you have the security of salvation…

A – “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

B – “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 NKJV

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:31

C - “Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Have you ever prayed and received the assurance of eternal life by confessing your belief in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for your sins?

It is by asking in faith, believing in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for our sins, that we receive this gift of God.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” – John 1:12

We ask, believe, and confess through prayer. The prayer that goes something like this one…

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I know I cannot save myself. Now in faith I ask your forgiveness. I repent of my sins and I accept your gift of eternal life. I thank you for living the life I could not and would not, and dying the death that I deserved, so I might have the eternal life that only you deserve. I accept you as my Savior and will trust you as Lord of my life. Amen.

…is the kind of prayer that Jesus Christ affirms when He said:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath eternal life.” - John 6:47

Is it your desire to pray that kind of prayer? Do you sense God’s touch upon your heart to confess your need of Him? Why not pause where you are now and pray to accept Jesus Christ into your life? Will you let me know by dropping me a quick note or a question in the form below?
